Moroccan YouTube Dating Video Sparks Controversy and Police Investigation

A video posted on YouTube titled "First Moroccan version of blind dating by outfits" is causing controversy on social media. In this video, we see a young woman, dressed in a very short skirt, talking to four young men behind a white curtain. At first, she only shows their shoes. Their clothes appear as the white curtain is raised. The young woman then tries to identify them through questions in order to choose one for a date. She eliminates them one by one, before finally using a dog to choose her "dream knight". The sequence has provoked disgust on social networks. Activists denounce a video promoting ideas that undermine public decency and harm Moroccan culture and values.

Thanks to the computer vigilance of the national security, this video was detected, says a security source to the site Al3omk. The images were then analyzed before being submitted to the National Brigade of the Judicial Police. The latter is responsible for verifying whether the video contains material and immaterial elements constituting crimes punishable by Moroccan law, in order to determine the necessary legal responsibilities.
