Moroccan Youth Chase Soccer Dreams Amid Limited Opportunities

Three young Moroccan soccer players dream of one day becoming professionals despite the obstacles in their path. Although the Moroccan national soccer team distinguished itself during the World Cup, the prospects of becoming a soccer star in the country are extremely slim, especially outside the big cities.
The lack of investment from the state as well as limited sports opportunities leave little room for talented teenagers aspiring to a professional career, writes Al Jazeera.
The channel has followed the journey of three young soccer players who dream of being able to adequately provide for their needs through their passion, to establish themselves as professionals and perhaps even become stars one day. But in reality, they have to deal with modest salaries, limited infrastructure and the constant need to reconcile their family support with their soccer aspirations.
