Moroccan Workers Face High Costs for Mandatory COVID-19 Tests Before Returning to Work

Many Moroccan employees went to private clinics in Casablanca to take COVID-19 screening tests before returning to work. To their great surprise, they were asked to pay 4,000 DH for a single test.
In addition to this pricing, there are consultation fees, reports Al Massae. Expensive costs for private sector employees. Conducting COVID-19 screening tests is one of the conditions imposed on employees before the resumption of economic activity.
The authorities had instructed entrepreneurs to submit their employees to this screening test. A requirement aimed at limiting the risks of coronavirus spread in often confined professional environments.
Some companies have benefited from free screening after submitting requests to the Health Delegation and providing the list of names of their employees, the same source said.
