Moroccan Women’s Soccer Club President Banned for Life Over Player Blackmail Scandal

The Ethics Commission of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation has suspended the president of the women’s team of Difaâ Hassani d’El Jadida who was guilty of blackmail. Abdellah Ghalida will never be able to run a football club in Morocco again.
In a press release published on its website, the Ethics Commission of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) announced that the president of the women’s team of Difaâ Hassani d’El Jadida has been suspended for demanding money from the players of his team by threatening not to renew their contract. Abdellah Ghalida’s suspension is accompanied by a fine of 100,000 dirhams.
The Ethics Commission of the FRMF also suspended the president of the women’s team of Afak Khenifra, Mohamed Al-Abdi, for a period of one year, with a fine of 20,000 dirhams. This is the price to pay for challenging the decisions rendered by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.
