Moroccan Woman Sentenced for Stalking Ex-Partner in Spain

The criminal court on Thursday sentenced a Moroccan woman to 60 days of community service for harassing her ex-partner in Palma in April 2016.
In 2013, the man had ended his relationship with the defendant, who did not accept this breakup. She went to the man’s workplace in Palma every day, insistently asking to speak to him, threatening to self-harm if he refused.
The defendant also called her ex-partner several times, more precisely 208 times between October and November 2016.
The situation caused the man to experience a state of anxiety that prevented him from living his life normally. On December 21, 2016, a decision was made to prohibit the defendant from approaching her ex within 200 meters and from communicating with him.
