Two Moroccan Truckers Killed in Armed Attack Near Bamako, Mali

The attack that caused the death of two Moroccan nationals on September 11 in Mali continues to provoke reactions. Some already claim that it is a terrorist attack deliberately targeting Moroccans.
Who killed the two Moroccan nationals in Mali? This is what the investigation into the death of the two murdered truckers will try to elucidate.
The Moroccan drivers were heading to Bamako, the Malian capital, in trucks carrying goods, when they were attacked by an armed group. The Moroccan embassy in Mali indicates that this aggression took place in the town of Didiéné, located about 300 kilometers from Bamako.
It was also specified that no property was stolen from the victims. This raises the question of what those who took the lives of these Moroccan nationals were really looking for.
According to the press release from the National Observatory of Transport and the Rights of the Professional Driver relayed by Al Akhbar, the motives for this aggression remain unknown, even if some do not rule out an attempted robbery, given the recurrent attacks suffered by truckers in this region by highway robbers.
However, notes the regional president of the Transport Observatory in the Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, Reda Hasnaoui, this aggression is different from the usual ones.
The assailants, he adds, did not intercept or threaten the Moroccan drivers, but riddled them with bullets by shooting from afar, with Kalashnikovs. In other words, he continues, these crimes were premeditated, because the criminals based themselves on the license plates of the trucks and their only objective was to kill the Moroccan drivers, according to the same source.
