Moroccan Trio Leads African Presence in Champions League Semi-Finals

On the African side, Moroccan players are the most numerous to see their teams still in the running for the prestigious Champions League title. Three of them are still in the race, all three Atlas Lions.
Le360 writes on the subject: "12 African players are involved in the Champions League semi-finals. Morocco is the most represented country with 3 Atlas Lions." These are specifically Hakim Ziyech, Zakaria Labyad and Noussair Mazraoui, all three playing for Ajax Amsterdam, which this year is working miracles. The club has indeed eliminated one after the other two big favorites, namely Juventus and Real Madrid.
Next comes Cameroon, with two players, the goalkeeper, André Onana, at Ajax, and the central defender Joël Matip, playing at Liverpool. It should be noted that out of the 12 African players still in competition, Ajax has 5.
The seven other remaining players each come from a different country: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool, Egypt), Naby Keita (Liverpool, Guinea), Kevin-Prince Boateng (FC Barcelona, Ghana), Boureima Hassan Bandé (Ajax Amsterdam, Burkina Faso), Sadio Mané (Liverpool, Senegal), Victor Wanyama (Tottenham, Kenya) and finally Serge Aurier (Tottenham, Côte d’Ivoire).
