Moroccan Travelers Stage Airport Protest Over Mandatory COVID Quarantine

The Mohammed V airport in Casablanca experienced some heated hours on Wednesday. Moroccan passengers refusing to submit to certain health rules improvised protest scenes within the airport.
Coming from Manama, in Bahrain, a country on the B list, these passengers, unhappy with the 10-day isolation measure, staged an impromptu sit-in within the airport to express their refusal to submit to it.
As expected, the authorities were intransigent about compliance with this preventive measure to curb the risk of coronavirus spread, explains an official quoted by Alyaoum24.
"The health isolation decided for passengers from countries on the B list is mandatory and aims to avoid a resurgence of the epidemic that could be very costly," explains a source cited by the site, who confides that the officials at the border crossings have received firm instructions to take the necessary measures against all persons who refuse to comply.
Indeed, any traveler coming from countries on the "B" list is systematically subject to a 10-day isolation. He must also present a negative PCR test result dated 48 hours before the trip. The isolation costs in one of the hotel facilities designated by the local authorities are borne by the traveler. He will also have to undergo a check on the ninth day of this health isolation.
