Moroccan Textile Industry Rebounds as Orders Surge Amid Pandemic Recovery

Like other sectors of activity, the textile and clothing sector is gradually coming back to life. A timid recovery that is taking place, it is assured, in compliance with health measures.
The textile and clothing sector, hard hit by the health crisis, has to face difficulties. "This pandemic has surprised everyone. We are adapting to this situation and putting in place the necessary measures to work properly," says Mohamed Boubouh, president of AMITH, which brings together all the professionals in the sector, to Aujourd’hui Le Maroc.
With the recovery, the prospects are "very good," he adds. "We have a lot of orders pending... We were pleasantly surprised," says the president of AMITH before indicating that the pace of work will be reduced in order to comply with health measures and preserve the health of employees.
"I want to work and deliver better results for my sector," also says Mohamed Boubouh, to cut short the reactions of textile workers in the North who put forward "lies made up from scratch" to demand his resignation.
