Moroccan Tennis Star Pens Inspiring Memoir of Rise from Humble Beginnings

"From the candle to the spotlights." This is the title of the book that retraces the journey of Abdel-François Nadini, the manager of the Orangerie tennis club, in the Parc neighborhood. The author recounts his rise.
In this book published by Edi’lybris editions, Abdel-François Nadini explains how he built himself "from a wooden spoon and the light of a candle." A big name in Moroccan tennis, the manager of the Orangerie tennis club has always "caught the train on time," and therefore seized all the opportunities that came his way.
"At first, I wrote about twenty pages to tell my daughter Yasmine what I had experienced, to tell her where I came from. Everyone told me I had to write a book," confides this Moroccan, originally from El-Jadida, to Sud Ouest. From ball boy at the age of five, he has had an exceptional career, becoming "the number two in Moroccan tennis." "I owe everything to this sport," said the one who participated in several Davis Cups.
Abdel-François wanted to open a Moroccan restaurant and realized his dream. "Le Marrakech" was born in Pontaillac, an establishment that was successful, but which he eventually closed to return to his first love. Manager of the Orangerie club since 2011, he claims to be "a thousand times happier" even though he "earns thirty times less than before." "From the candle to the spotlights" is available at the Orangerie club.
