Moroccan Teen Missing After Attempting Dangerous Swim to Spanish Enclave Ceuta

Mohamed Chairi Hatti, 17, from Fnideq in Morocco, disappeared at sea while trying to reach Ceuta by swimming. His family is desperately searching for him.
Mohamed disappeared on Thursday in the midst of Storm Aline. Like many young people, he tried to cross the Tarajal breakwater using a car tire as a float. At the time of his disappearance, the young man was wearing street clothes, reports El Faro de Ceuta.
Without news of him since Thursday, Mohamed’s parents are desperate. They are calling for help and asking anyone with information that could help locate the minor.
For now, the searches have yielded nothing. The young man has not been registered in any of the city’s minor centers, and is not among the minors rescued at sea by the maritime rescue services. His parents fear the worst.
