Moroccan Teen Fighting for Life After Acid Attack in Spanish Town

A young man of Moroccan origin is currently between life and death after being attacked with acid. The incident took place on Friday in Caspe, a town located in the Zaragoza region, in northern Spain.
The 17-year-old was attacked by a hooded person while he was in a street in the center of this town. Suffering from serious facial injuries, he was transferred to the Miguel Servet hospital in Zaragoza, before being airlifted to the one in Alcañiz in Teruel.
This act shocked the inhabitants of the town where this Moroccan family has lived for many years and where it was fully integrated, according to the mayor. The latter described the boy as a "normal young man and a good student".
The Guardia Civil judicial police have been tasked by the justice system to conduct the investigation, which for the time being does not rule out any leads.
According to local media, the aggressor had premeditated his act since he was hooded during the attack. The victim was approached as he was returning home before being directly attacked in the face. The emergency services arrived very quickly on the scene to take care of the young Moroccan.
