Moroccan Teen’s Burial in Paris Delayed as Authorities Seek Family

A young man of Moroccan origin, born in Casablanca, will be buried this Wednesday, January 17, 2024 in Paris. His family or close relatives are actively being sought.
His name is Omar Ahmadi, born on June 4, 2006 in Casablanca. The young man of Moroccan origin died on September 22 in Paris and is to be buried today at the Thiais cemetery in Paris. He did not have any identity documents on him when the body was discovered.
Anyone who knows his relatives in Casablanca or in Morocco in general should contact the Tahara association to try to cancel this burial and set up the procedure for repatriating the body to Morocco or burying him with dignity.
