Moroccan Teen Advances to Finals of Dubai’s Arab Reading Challenge

A year after the victory of the young Meriem Amjoune in the prestigious "Arab Reading Challenge" competition, Morocco is once again distinguished through a young high school student who wishes to raise the colors of her country very high.
Fatima-Zahra Akhiar is 15 years old and is enrolled in the common core science (French language option) of the International Baccalaureate (Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region academy).
She is the one representing Morocco in the fourth edition of the "Arab Reading Challenge" after winning the national reading competition. Encouraged by the Minister of Education, Saaïd Amzazi, she was rewarded during a ceremony on April 6 last in Casablanca, according to Huffpost.
Launched in 2015, the "Arab Language Challenge" competition aims to establish a culture of reading among the new Arab generation and to emphasize the importance of knowledge in shaping the future of each candidate, but also that of their communities and their countries.
