Moroccan Tech Distributor PC d’Or Faces 60 Million Dirham Debt Crisis

A new case is shaking the computer and electronic equipment distribution sector. The semi-wholesaler PC d’Or based in Témara owes tens of millions of dirhams to its creditors.
PC d’Or’s customers are small distributors, particularly regional ones, who do not do business directly with importers such as Disway and Disty or with manufacturers such as Samsung and LG, reports Challenge.ma.
Following legal actions initiated by a large number of suppliers, the Rabat Commercial Court has ordered several auctions to the detriment of this semi-wholesaler. The plaintiffs are claiming unpaid debts amounting to more than 60 million dirhams, including invoices that have not been paid since early 2019.
Since the outbreak of the case, the majority shareholder has fled abroad. The creditors, for their part, are fighting to obtain payments. They are betting on the stock of equipment of their client that can be put up for sale.
It is the downfall for this company that had a prominent place: more than 300 million dirhams in turnover, several hundred customers spread across different regions of Morocco.
