Moroccan Talent Shines: 10 Leaders Named in Top 100 African Economic Visionaries List

Ten Moroccans are featured in the 2021 Choiseul 100 Africa ranking - The Economic Leaders of Tomorrow - from the Choiseul Institute, an independent think tank based in Paris.
The Choiseul ranking lists the young African leaders who play or are called upon to play a major role in the economic development of the continent in the near future. The selection criteria include image and reputation, power and function, influence and network, as well as leadership potential. Among the 100 future African leaders of Choiseul Africa 2021, 10 are Moroccans. Morocco thus tops the ranking alongside Nigeria with the largest number of young leaders on the list.
Moroccan Abdellatif Kabbaj, CEO of Soft Group, a technology company, ranks sixth in the ranking. Moroccan women in management positions are also found in Choiseul Africa 2021. Among them, Loubna Tricha, CEO of the Moroccan Office of Vocational Training and Employment Promotion, ranked 78th.
In a statement to African Business magazine, Pascal Lorot, President of the Choiseul Institute, indicated that Africa is at the heart of global efforts to promote cooperation and development. "Despite its many structural and political challenges, Africa is emerging as a continent thanks to its young population and the launch of the world’s largest free trade area, the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA)."
