Moroccan Suspects Face 8-Year Sentence for Alleged ISIS Recruitment in Spain

Two Moroccans who had been arrested in February 2017 for attempting to join the terrorist group Daesh in Syria were brought before the Madrid court on Monday.
Anouar Bensaddik and Abdelmounaim Bennassar, accused of belonging to the terrorist organization "Badalona group," now risk a sentence of 8 years in prison, reports the EFE agency, which specifies that Bennassar’s wife is also being prosecuted for having indoctrinated three other women so that they would join Syria.
Prosecuted for "indoctrination and recruitment of jihadists," the two men are also accused of having financed their terrorist cell "through criminal activities related to drug trafficking and property offenses."
Previously implicated in cases of threats and armed robberies, the two men had created pages on social media praising Daesh and providing internet users with "intense training."
