Moroccan Suspect Arrested in Barcelona Mall Robbery Using Fake Gun

A young man of Moroccan nationality, suspected of being the author of the robbery of a shopping center in Barcelona, was arrested on August 31 by the Mossos d’Esquadra. The individual is being prosecuted for theft with violence and intimidation.
On August 22, the cashier of a store in Martorell, terrified by an individual who was pointing a weapon at her, had taken refuge in a room where her colleagues were. The man was wearing an "Anonymous" mask, reports La Vanguardia.
When the police arrived, the individual had already disappeared. From the surveillance camera images, the police had noted a "reduced mobility in one arm and an atypical gait" in the aggressor.
These characteristics allowed the Mossos to apprehend him, a week later, in downtown Barcelona. According to the Spanish media, the man, who had committed five serious crimes in the past, admitted to using a toy gun during the robbery of the store.
