Moroccan Students Lead Foreign Enrollment in French Universities, Despite Slight Decline

Moroccan students still dominate all other foreign communities in France in 2019. They remain at the top, despite a decline recorded compared to 2018.
According to Medias24, the number of foreign students in France exceeds the number of people admitted for family reasons, with 91,495 residence permits issued in 2019, an increase of 9.3% compared to 2018, according to data recently published by the French Ministry of the Interior.
According to these figures published by Le Figaro, Moroccan students are at the top of the ranking of nationalities that are snatching up student visas, followed by China, Algeria and Tunisia. In 2019, they were estimated at 11,282 Moroccans, while in 2018 they were around 32,054.
