Moroccan Students on Hunger Strike in France Over University Access and Visa Issues

Mostapha, who arrived in France a few months ago, is asking for access to academic French courses, but the university is asking him for 650 euros, which he says he does not have, reports the newspaper Le Parisien.
For Wissal, 20, the university offers her distance learning courses, but this does not allow her to obtain her residence permit. "Unlike face-to-face, distance learning does not allow me to obtain my residence permit. So yes, I believe that this is a challenge to my status as a student," she explains to the daily.
The two young people have set up a tent and say they do not want to leave until they get their way. As for the administration, it assures "to do everything to find a solution".
