Moroccan Students Exploit Spanish University Enrollment for Visa Access

A large number of Moroccan students have enrolled in pharmacy at the University of Salamanca, without understanding Spanish. Their goal is to have the necessary papers to obtain the visa.
The Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Salamanca has found that 27 Moroccan students enrolled there for the 2021-22 academic year. They are not aiming for the diploma, but are seeking to have the necessary papers to obtain the visa, according to La Gaceta, specifying that these Moroccan students attended the courses without understanding Spanish, and then requested attendance certificates.
The authorities of the University of Salamanca assure that measures will be taken to avoid these kinds of situations next year. At the next start of the school year, the B1 certificate in Spanish will be required from these Moroccan students before their enrollment, they specify. Currently, only one Moroccan student has already enrolled and they hope there will be more.
