Moroccan Student Dies After Self-Immolation at Vocational Training Center in Casablanca

It was at the Office of Vocational Training and Employment Promotion (OFPPT) located in Hay Mohammadi in Casablanca that a student set his body on fire. Rushed to Moulay Rachid Hospital, he died on Tuesday.
According to Barlamane.com, it was following an altercation with his teacher that the student self-immolated by dousing himself with gasoline before igniting it.
The teacher’s attempt to quickly prevent him was in vain. The teacher also paid the price, as he was burned on his hands and arms.
Rushed to the hospital for appropriate care, he succumbed to his injuries, which were described as serious by the medical staff.
An investigation has been initiated under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office to determine the ins and outs of this tragedy.
