Moroccan Striker Zaroury Sees Red for Violent Tackle on Walker in Premier League Match

Undoubtedly a match to forget for Moroccan international Anass Zaroury, who was sent off the field, only half an hour after coming on.
The Moroccan was sent off by the referee following a violent kick from behind on Kyle Walker. The referee, after reviewing the action by the VAR, transformed the initial yellow card into a red one. The injury caused to Walker forced his replacement by McAtee.
Anass Zaroury confirmed a few days ago the signing of a new five-year contract at Turf Moor, according to a statement from the Premier League club. The Moroccan striker, bought from Charleroi last summer for four million euros, said he was very happy with this extension, stressing that he felt "immediately at home" within the club and praising the trust that everyone has shown him.
After being a key element in Burnley’s promotion from the Championship to the Premier League last season, with eleven goals in 39 games, Zaroury has also proven himself on the international stage. Having previously played for the youth teams of Belgium, he chose to represent Morocco at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, notably participating in the match against Croatia for third place.
