Moroccan Striker En-Nesyri Ties European Record for Headed Goals in 2023

Youssef En-Nesyri scored a magnificent header goal against Rayo Vallecano (2-2) on Saturday, becoming the European player who has scored the most headed goals in 2023.
Sevilla drew 2-2 against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday, thanks to Youssef En-Nesyri’s late goal (90+6’). The Moroccan striker scored with his head, as he did a few days ago in Eindhoven, reports AS.
This decisive goal against Rayo Vallecano is the eighth En-Nesyri has scored with his head in 2023, across all competitions, making him the best header scorer in Europe since the start of the year, tied with Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
Despite his ankle discomfort, En-Nesyri is making an effort to play, given Mendilibar’s lack of confidence in Rafa Mir and Mariano’s constant injuries. Thanks to his headers, Sevilla is currently managing to get draws, but not victories.
