Moroccan Striker Munir El Haddadi Finds Form at Getafe After World Cup Setback

Moroccan Munir El Haddadi has finally found his place in the Getafe team. After suffering from injuries at the start of the season and missing his chance to play for Morocco during the World Cup in Qatar, he has finally been able to consolidate his place in the starting lineup of the Madrid team.
Munir joined Getafe from Seville to seek the continuity he was lacking, but things did not go as planned, analyzes Sport.es. Injuries affected his adaptation and ultimately excluded him from Morocco’s World Cup roster.
However, since late February, things have started to change for the player trained at Barça. Getafe coach Quique Sanchez Flores gave him his first chance as a starter in a crucial win against Valencia (1-0). Since then, he has started six of the last seven Liga matches, scoring a goal against his former club, FC Seville of Yassine Bounou, and providing an assist to Borja Mayoral against Real Madrid. This presence has also freed up Enes Unal and Borja Mayoral, allowing Getafe to play better and get good results.
The former blaugrana Munir El Haddadi now hopes to prove himself against his former club, FC Barcelona, this Sunday. Even though he failed to establish himself at Barça, he has found a new start at Getafe and is finally demonstrating his potential in La Liga. Getafe, for its part, has won 11 points out of the last 21 possible, thanks to three consecutive home wins against Valencia, Girona and Seville.
