Getafe Stuns Sevilla 2-0 as El Haddadi Scores Against Former Club
Munir El Haddadi opened the scoring in the match against Seville as part of the 26th round of La Liga, allowing Getafe to take the lead and win the match 2-0.
In great form this season, Munir El Haddadi has contributed to Getafe’s climb in the standings. The Moroccan striker, Enes Ünal and Borja Mayoral are the ones who have scored Getafe’s last fifteen goals. Against Seville, his former club, El Haddadi opened the scoring in the 50th minute, at the start of the second half. The two teams had numerous chances during the match, but Ünal scored the second goal in stoppage time (90+5), giving Getafe the victory (2-0).
Seville dominated the first part of the match, before Getafe turned the tide with Munir El Haddadi’s goal, and managed to maintain the pressure until the final whistle, despite the entry of Youssef En-Nesyri, Suso and Rakitic on the Seville side who tried to come back and get a draw. The club of Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou has not won an away match since October and finds itself in the lower reaches of the standings.
