Moroccan Star Taarabt Hails Hakimi and Ziyech as ’New Generation’ of Atlas Lions
Moroccan international Adel Taarabt closely follows the exploits of his compatriots Achraf Hakimi and Hakim Ziyech.
In an interview, the former AC Milan player and now a Benfica Lisbon player, extensively discussed the potential of his two teammates who are the pride of Morocco at Inter Milan and Chelsea. For him, Hakimi and Ziyech are "the standard bearers of this new generation of Atlas Lions".
He talks about Achraf Hakimi as "one of the most prominent young people and one of the best full-backs in the world". He does not fail to praise Ziyech who, according to him, remains a hope for Moroccan football. "Ziyech certainly needs a period of adaptation, but I’m sure he’ll be great for Chelsea. And there are others coming," said Adel Taarabt.
After a few slumps, the Moroccan midfielder has returned to the top of his game and has even been recently called up to the national team. Today, he is more than determined to work so that Morocco can win the 2021 CAN and qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
