Moroccan Star Medhi Benatia Hints at Possible AS Roma Return

The Captain of the Atlas Lions, Medhi Benatia, who previously said he had chosen to play in Qatar so that his children could grow up in an environment imbued with Islamic culture, would have hinted that he might well return to play in Italy, and more specifically to his former club AS Roma.
In an interview with Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Moroccan international Medhi Benatia would have hinted at a possible return to AS Roma. Indeed, in response to a question about such a possibility, Benatia said: "Maybe... Rome will always be a very special city for me and will remain in my memory forever."
And it’s not for nothing. His stay there seems to have been very significant, judging by his words: "The club’s coach at the time, Rudi Garcia, had trusted me. I was even the captain with the presence of two great names on the team: Totti and De Rossi. I will never forget the famous Stadio Olimpico. When you enter the historic stronghold of AS Roma and see the supporters, you want to destroy everything."
The exact opposite of what he was subjected to at the end at Juve, according to what can be seen. Let’s remember that Benatia left AS Roma in 2014, heading to Bayern Munich. Then in 2016 he joined the ranks of Juventus of Turin, and the coach was starting to sideline him from the pitches. Finally, Benatia landed at the Qatari club Al-Duhail, again very recently, in January 2019.
The great Moroccan player then stated that this choice had nothing to do with money and that he wanted, among other things, for his children to live in an Islamic atmosphere. And he literally bombarded the Juve coach, signifying that he did not treat him well... Very recently, it seems he has given advice to Hakim Ziyech, of Ajax Amsterdam, to beat the Old Lady in the Champions League quarter-finals.
And seeing now how he talks about AS Roma... All these praises... We understand everything!
