Moroccan actress and singer Mariam Hussein’s blackface in support of the anti-racism protests in the United States and elsewhere has provoked the anger of Internet users.
While Mariam had smeared her face black to protest the death of African-American George Floyd during a police check in Minneapolis on May 25, she has set the web on fire.
The photo of her that she posted on Instagram has sparked outrage. Some Internet users have criticized the Moroccan star for not having grasped the merits of these anti-racist demonstrations.
Faced with the controversy, actress Mariam Hussein deleted her post.
