Moroccan Stabbing Victim’s Body Released for Burial After Two-Month Delay

Two months after the fatal knife attack on Soufian Mhara, the judge of the Court of Instruction of Porriño has finally authorized the burial of the victim of the crime in Salceda. His family, still in shock, was summoned to receive the document authorizing the repatriation of the young man to Morocco for burial.
Soufian Mhara can now rest in peace in his hometown where his family wanted to bury him. The mandatory license authorizing his return to Morocco has finally been obtained by his parents, reports the Spanish media Farodevigo. The parents of this young Moroccan, stabbed by a notorious delinquent as he was leaving a pub in the municipality on June 8, 2019, fought to have their son’s body returned to the country.
According to the same source, the victim’s sister, Siham Mhara, acknowledged that the final steps for the repatriation of her brother will be quickly carried out so that the remains can be repatriated. She acknowledges that these did not take place without difficulties. "All this time has been painful and anguishing. From the first moment, we asked that they bring my brother to his country to let him rest." After this step, she announces the continuation of the legal battle to elucidate the circumstances of Soufian Mhara’s death and to discover the perpetrators of this vile crime.
Already, four witnesses are expected to testify in court, according to the same source. The light at the end of the tunnel is certainly not far away.
