Moroccan-Spanish Team Patents Potential Prostate Cancer Treatment from Citrus Peels
Saturday 30 March 2019, by
A cure to stop advanced prostate cancer has just been found by a team of Moroccan-Spanish researchers. It would be citrus peels and residues.
This effective remedy against advanced prostate cancer would block metastases. A patent has been filed by the Moroccan-Spanish team that found it. In this case, a group composed of Moroccan researchers from the Faculty of Sciences of the Abdelmalek Essaadi University and Spanish researchers from the University of Alcalá de Henares. But... was it enough to eat citrus peels and residues to be cured? Inject them? Make compresses?
Researcher Mohamed Amine Amrani, director of the Moroccan team, said in a statement to MAP: "Citrus peels undergo a water distillation operation that allows to have essential oils whose chemical components are rich in limonene, a natural chemical product".
He continued: "the limonene undergoes a simple chemical transformation in order to extract the derivatives that can be dissolved in water, therefore in a physiological medium and consequently can be dissolved in the blood". But what does this have to do with cancer?
The answer is given to us by the site Le360: "solubility has always been an obstacle to the effectiveness of anticancer drugs". Still according to Le360: "The Moroccan researcher stressed that the most important element of this discovery is that ’the extracted molecules block metastasis and attack only the cells affected by this disease’. He added that this remedy will eliminate the side effects of chemotherapy treatment that attacks all cells indiscriminately".
Bravo!
