Moroccan-Spanish Same-Sex Marriage Sparks Debate on Religion and Rights

The marriage of a Moroccan from the city of Martil, in the north of the country, and a Spaniard residing in Ceuta, is causing controversy on social networks.
For some, this homosexual union is an attack on the very precepts of the Muslim religion, while others emphasize individual and sexual freedoms.
According to the comments selected by the newspaper Al Ousboue, the age of the two men also poses a problem. Some believe that it is a marriage of convenience, the Moroccan being much younger than his new partner.
It should be noted that about fifty homosexual and bisexual Moroccans live in the Spanish enclave. Without papers for the majority of them, they claim to have been threatened and assaulted because of their sexual orientation and hope to be regularized quickly so that they can go to the peninsula.
