Moroccan Soccer Star Urges Liège Youth to Follow COVID-19 Rules

The Moroccan international, Mehdi Carcela, has committed himself to Liège, the Belgian city of which he is an honorary citizen, by urging young people to adopt a responsible behavior in the face of the spread of covid-19.
Playmaker of Standard de Liège and confined in this same city, the Atlas Lion has addressed a message, on the official page of the city, to the young people used to transgressing the rules of confinement.
According to the Moroccan player, the Belgian population is going through a (very very) difficult period. "And yet, we still see young people going out in groups, far too many young people hanging around in the streets. This is not what we want to see, not at all," recalls the former Benfica Lisbon striker, visibly saddened by this alarming situation. According to the Moroccan player, young people do not realize the danger they are creating. "You don’t realize that you are exposing your mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters to this danger. It’s not just the elderly who are affected by this corona," he hammered.
Recalling the death this week of a young girl from covid-19, he urged young people not to "laugh at the virus." Mehdi Carcela also says he has friends hospitalized who are afraid for themselves, but also afraid of having unknowingly contaminated all their loved ones. "I know it’s hard, but please stay home. Don’t move from your home. We need you to fight this virus," he concluded.
