Moroccan Soccer Legend Mohamed Timoumi in Critical Condition After Surgery Complications

Went to France to undergo a surgical operation, following an old ligament rupture and a fibula fracture, the former glory of Moroccan football, Mohamed Timoumi, found himself in a vegetative, if not comatose, state following an internal hemorrhage.
Suffering from leg problems, the former star of the Rabat FAR club had been taken care of by King Mohammed VI, after their meeting at the Maâmoura National Football Center.
Winner of the African Ballon d’Or in 1985, Mohamed Timoumi brought joy to the Moroccans during the participation of the Atlas Lions in the 1986 World Cup, which took place in Mexico.
Author of a rich football career, the Ballon d’Or winner won the African Champions League in 1986 under the jersey of the FAR, before continuing his international experience with the clubs Real Murcia in Spain and Lokren in Belgium.
To closely monitor his condition, the FRMF has sent the doctor of the Atlas Lions, Abderrazak Hifti, to the site.
