Players and members of the technical staff of the Maghreb Association Sportive (MAS) have been infected with the coronavirus. As a result, the entire club has been placed in quarantine.

Training is now prohibited within the Maghreb Association Sportive (MAS) for two weeks. During this quarantine period imposed by the Fès-Meknès Regional Health Directorate, the players have been placed in isolation as well as the people who have been in contact with the club members who tested positive for the coronavirus, reports Radio Mars.

These are coach Mounir Jaaouani, players Nassreddine Taraina, Charki Elbahri, the Gabonese Cedric Ondo Biyoghe, the equipment manager and the physical trainer who are carriers of the virus, according to an MAS press release. For the time being, their state of health does not cause any concern.

As for the other players as well as the club’s staff members, they have been invited by the Fès-Meknès Regional Health Directorate to self-isolate for a period of 14 days.

A few hours before the club’s match with the Association Sportive de Salé for the 23rd round of the Botola Pro D2, on July 26, the Salé leaders, in solidarity with MAS, are willing to cooperate in case of postponement of this match.
