Moroccan Soccer Club Parts Ways with Algerian Coach Stranded by COVID-19 Travel Ban

Covid-19 causes Algerian coach Abdelkader Amrani to lose his job at Difaâ Hassani Jadidi (DHJ). The flagship club of the Doukkala region announced on Tuesday that it had amicably parted ways with the man, who was stranded in his country due to the suspension of air travel due to the new coronavirus.
It’s official. Abdelkader Amrani is no longer the coach of Difaâ. The same goes for the physical trainer, Kamal Boujnan, who was also unable to return to Morocco, following the closure of borders due to the pandemic of the new coronavirus and the suspension of all flights since March.
In a press release posted online, "the management office and the players have expressed their thanks to the two Algerian technicians for the efforts made since their taking office last December, after the voluntary departure of coach Baddou Zaki", reports the MAP.
The DHJ, like all sports clubs in Morocco, is living to the rhythm of the state of health emergency decreed on March 20 by the public authorities and extended until June 10 throughout the national territory. Sports matches have been suspended nationwide since March 14, following the decision of the competent authorities to ban any gathering of more than 50 people.
