Moroccan Smuggler Sentenced to 10 Years for Deadly Migrant Trafficking Operation

A hairdresser from Rabat, involved in the death of about twenty illegal immigrants, was sentenced, at the beginning of the week, to 10 years in prison. The man had been on the run from justice for nearly 2 years.
The axe has fallen for a hairdresser in the city of Rabat. This smuggler was sentenced to 10 years in prison, for having organized, in 2018, a migrant trafficking operation that resulted in the death of about twenty people.
The smuggler, who was acting on behalf of a clandestine immigration network, had been on the run for 2 years, Akhbarona reported. The man was demanding the sum of 20,000 dirhams for a crossing to Spain.
The last link in a criminal organization, the hairdresser had managed to escape justice for 2 years. All of his accomplices, continues the same source, had been arrested by the police.
