Moroccan Singers’ Defamation Case Postponed: Dounia Batma vs. Saïda Charaf Trial Delayed to January

The court of first instance in Marrakech decided on Monday to postpone the judgment in the case of Moroccan singer Dounia Batma and her sister Ibtissam against Saïda Charaf and Reda El Bouzidi, better known as Ould Chnouia, to January 29.
At the request of Saïda Charaf’s lawyer, who requested additional time to better prepare his defense, the court decided to postpone the hearing to January 29. To recall, Saïda Charaf is being prosecuted for insults, defamation and blackmail on social networks, after Dounia Batma and her sister Ibtissam filed a complaint against her.
Ibtissam Batma has posted numerous messages about this case on her Instagram account, which has elicited approving comments from many fans and subscribers.
