Moroccan Singer Sues Egyptian Star Over Royalties, YouTube Removes Hit Song

Moroccan artist Saâd Lamjarred has decided to file a complaint against Mohamed Ramadan with whom he sang "Ensay". The origin of this decision is the singer’s refusal to pay him his royalties. YouTube has removed the song.
Released more than a year ago, the song Ensay, a featuring between Mohamed Ramadan and Saâd Lamjarred, is no longer available on YouTube. The management of the channel decided to remove it following a complaint from the Moroccan artist. Lamjarred claims not to have received his share of the revenue from this song broadcast on the Egyptian artist’s YouTube channel, while the latter receives the royalties that the channel pays directly into his bank account, reports Le360. According to the contract that binds them, Mohamed Ramadan is supposed to pay his counterpart what is due to him.
According to the confidences of a close friend of the Moroccan artist, before deciding to file a complaint against the Egyptian, Lamjarred’s management had tried an amicable settlement, but was met with the categorical refusal of Mohamed Ramadan. Justice will handle the case.
