Moroccan Singer’s Lawsuit Lands Stylist in Prison for Unauthorized Court Recording

Stylist Soltana, whose real name is Siham Badda, was sentenced to 4 months in prison, following a complaint filed by Dounia Batma. She accuses her of having recorded and disseminated a video of her trial.
The verdict was handed down last Thursday by the investigating judge at the court of first instance in Marrakech, who also sentenced an accomplice of the stylist, who was being held in custody, to 10 months in prison. The two defendants will also have to jointly pay Dounia Batma compensation of 50,000 dirhams.
The facts date back to July 21 last. A woman was intercepted by the court’s security services as she was recording the trial of the Batma sisters, reports Aljarida24. She later confessed that she had been mandated by Soltana.
Dounia Batma and her sister, Ibtissam, were sentenced respectively to 8 months and 1 year in prison, for their involvement in the Hamza mon bb affair.
