Moroccan Retiree Commits Suicide After Assaulting Wife in El Hajeb Province

In El Hajeb, a retiree who believed he had killed his wife after subjecting her to physical abuse committed suicide.
The retiree, a sexagenarian, was found hanged at his home in the locality of Aït Ouallal in the commune of Taoujdate, in the province of El Hajeb, reports Al Massae. According to the investigation carried out by the elements of the royal gendarmerie brigade of Taoujdate, the deceased had inflicted violent blows to his wife’s head until she lost consciousness.
While his family, relatives and children were at the bedside of the victim admitted in critical condition to the hospital, the man believed that his wife had succumbed to her injuries. Overcome with remorse, he commits suicide.
Fortunately, the medical team at the hospital managed to save the victim. On the instructions of the competent public prosecutor’s office, the body of her husband was transported to the morgue of the provincial hospital of the city for an autopsy.
