Moroccan Retail Giant Marjane Expands ’City’ Supermarket Chain Across Casablanca

Marjane Holding is revolutionizing the retail sector. The Moroccan group is accelerating the openings of its "Marjane City" stores.
Marjane Holding will inaugurate its third Marjane City on Tan Tan Avenue, in the Bourgogne district of Casablanca, reports Challenge. Previously, two others had been opened in the Gauthier and Californie districts. The leader of large-scale distribution in Morocco is also expected to open six new outlets - one on Boulevard Massira and another on Boulevard Abdellatif Ben Kaddour - of this new neighborhood supermarket chain in the economic capital by the end of the year. These new outlets will be added to the four already established in Rabat.
Marjane City is the new neighborhood supermarket brand launched in 2023 by Marjane Holding. Built on an area of about 350 m², these smaller sales outlets meet the daily needs of an urban and demanding clientele by offering a wide range of essential products and a quick shopping experience. They also offer a coffee shop where customers can dine or take a coffee break at any time of the day, thus creating a real meeting place for the neighborhood’s residents.
Marjane Holding had opened its first Marjane City in Rabat, in the Hassan district. Today, the group has three other stores in the capital. Initially, it had opened hypermarkets (Marjane), supermarkets (Marjane Market) and launched its online platform (marjanemall).
