Moroccan Rappers Slam Actor Brahim Bouhlel for Offensive Video Mocking Women and Children

The broadcast of a video in which the Franco-Algerian actor Brahim Bouhlel in the company of the Franco-Moroccan snapchatter Zbarbooking and the Franco-Algerian Hedi Bouchenafa, insulted Moroccan women and children of the kingdom continues to provoke strong reactions. Moroccan rappers Niro, Maes, Mister You or Kamelancien supported by Booba have attacked the three protagonists.
Niro sets the tone: "I love you guys, but don’t be clumsy even if it’s for fun, we already have a hard time living in peace, don’t hurt our dignity or that of our women, let alone that of our children." Maes continues: "It’s sad to be so thoughtless. And really if you’re not happy, you or your team, I’m in Marrakech we’ll see each other quickly."
Angry like the others, Mister You addressed the actor from the Validé series on Snapchat. "It snaps children by insulting them... It tries to tarnish Morocco... It tries to divide the Maghreb... And in the end it comes crying. A strong follow-up," he wrote. For his part, Kamelancien castigated the behaviors of Brahim Bouhlel, Zbarbooking and Hedi Bouchenafa. "These guys, they deserve to be insulted, they deserve no one to follow them on social networks..."
Booba lent his support to these Moroccan rappers. "You can count on La Piraterie, anyway. Deals like that we don’t let pass. And if we jump, we jump. There are social networks and there is real life. For us, it’s real life. The dolce #excusesrejected," wrote the performer of Ma couleur who reposted Kamelancien’s message.
Last weekend, Brahim Bouhlel had posted an insulting video about Morocco. This video provoked the anger of Moroccans. In the wake of this, the public prosecutor in Marrakech gave instructions to open a judicial investigation. On Monday, Franco-Algerian actor Brahim Bouhlel and Moroccan influencer Zbarbooking were arrested and taken into custody. They face up to two years in prison. As for the Franco-Algerian actor Hedi Bouchenafa, he left Morocco for France well before the start of the legal troubles.
