Moroccan Rapper Sentenced to 2 Years for Controversial Song on Debauchery Charges

The Court of First Instance in Fez sentenced the author of the song "Amo Amo, rak wledti zine" to two years in prison and a fine on Friday, prosecuted among other things for indecency and incitement to debauchery.
The rapper was arrested about two weeks ago and placed in detention at the Bourkaïz prison. Prosecuted for "incitement to commit offenses, public indecency, incitement of a minor under 18 to abortion and prostitution, and incitement to debauchery", the defendant was sentenced on Friday to two years in prison and a fine.
The judge of the Fez court also ordered the withdrawal of the controversial video from all download platforms, as well as from the rapper’s YouTube channel. This verdict is the third handed down by the justice system against rappers in the city for their songs inciting prostitution and debauchery or considered an offense to the royal family and the institutions of the kingdom.
