Moroccan Protesters in Spain Demand Affordable Travel Options to Morocco

About a hundred Moroccans demonstrated on Saturday in front of the consulate in Murcia to demand the reopening of maritime borders and that facilities be granted to them for their trips to Morocco, as air tickets have been out of reach since the resumption of flights on February 7.
These Moroccans complain about the suspension of passenger maritime traffic since March 2020 for health reasons, and the health protocol in force since the resumption of flights, reports ORM.

To travel to Morocco by plane, you have to present a vaccination pass proving the three doses, a negative PCR test dated 48 hours and in some cases, undergo another PCR test on arrival in Morocco, which makes the ticket too expensive, denounces Hicham Chergui, president of the General Coordination of Moroccans in Spain (CGME), the organizer of the demonstration.
