Moroccan Protesters Launch "Mute Mouth" Campaign Against Rif Hirak Sentences

Photos of people with their mouths closed by adhesive tape are starting to spread on social networks. A way to protest against the harsh sentences against the activists of the Rif Hirak.
Hespress explains that this campaign has been launched in several cities in Morocco and that Moroccans residing abroad have also published photos of themselves with their mouths closed by adhesive tape. Giving, according to the media, to this campaign "an international dimension".
The same source emphasizes: "The protesters intend to express their condemnation of the verdicts handed down against the leader of the Hirak, Nasser Zefzafi and his companions, noting that ’these judgments do not serve the interests of the country, but on the contrary consecrate a lack of independence of justice which continues to be commanded by political calculations’".
The international trade union network of solidarity and struggles would have published a statement in several languages in order to assert (or know) its positions with regard to, let us recall, the confirmation on appeal of the prison sentences pronounced in the first instance against Nasser Zefzafi and the other activists of the Rif Hirak, sentences ranging up to 20 years in prison. Hespress specifies: "In this same context, more than 90 trade union bodies have expressed their solidarity with the detainees of the Hirak".
It should also be noted that Nasser Zefzafi had sewn his mouth and unsewn it the same day, as a sign of protest against these same convictions on appeal, after they were pronounced.
