Moroccan Producers Eye Eastern European Market for Fresh Produce Exports

Twenty-eight (28) Moroccan fruit and vegetable producers and operators met on Thursday with Polish agro-logistics operators. At the heart of the discussions, the exploration by the two parties of ways and means to increase exports of Moroccan fresh products to Eastern Europe.
"After meeting potential buyers in Poland, it seemed obvious to us that the main obstacle to increasing our market share is the lack of direct access to buyers," said Achour Daoudi of Maroccan Taste, one of the participants in the meeting, since Poland, one of the world’s largest importers of small citrus fruits and a major importer of off-season fruits and vegetables, sources mainly from European countries such as Spain, Italy and Greece, reports Eco actu.
Thus, the meeting was an opportunity for Moroccan operators and Morocco Foodex to work with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) with EU financial
