In total, 864,546 Moroccans were legally established in Spain as of January 1, 2019; representing an increase of 6.3% compared to 2018 (50,959 people).
With this number, Moroccans maintain their position as the largest foreign community legally settled in the Iberian country, according to the National Institute of Statistics (INE) in a press release.
With 665,598 people, Romanians occupy second place, followed by Colombians (272,596), Britons (262,123), Italians (251,610), Chinese (232,617), Venezuelans (188,735) and Ecuadorians (130,795).
