Moroccan Pop Star’s Edgy Fashion Sparks Online Debate Amid Legal Troubles

The world of the net is quite complicated. Thus, a simple photo can lend itself to confusion and provoke various reactions, from the most positive to the most negative. Such is the case with the latest photo published by the Moroccan pop star, accused of several rapes in France with a ban on leaving the territory, Saad Lamjarred.

A few hours after the publication of this photo where dressed all in black, with leather here and there, a tank top and a strange necklace, and where Saad Lamjarred looks elsewhere, crossing his legs (a simple photo, we say), here are 119,000 likes congratulating him on his look and a series of hostile comments, condemning this same look. For them, Lamjarred’s behavior is "abnormal".

Let us recall that Saad Lamjarred is indicted for rape and that he is currently under judicial supervision, only owing his freedom to the payment of a bail of 150,000 euros and the need to respect a ban on leaving French territory. Rape charges that Saad Lamjarred contests, claiming, according to his lawyer Jean-Marc Fedida, that there was "no kind of violence" and that no "material element shows that there was violence or coercion", these reports having been, according to him, consented.
