Moroccan Police Seize 2 Tons of Tainted Meat in Tangier Food Safety Raid

A major food hygiene operation took place on Thursday morning in Tangier. Elements of the prefectural judicial police service in the city seized nearly two tons of spoiled white meat stored in unsanitary conditions.
The success of the operation is due to the collaboration between the local authorities and the services of the National Office of Sanitary Safety of Food Products (ONSSA). The objective is the fight against the various crimes that are detrimental to public health, indicates a press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The investigation conducted by the judicial police led to the arrest of three individuals who would be involved in these "criminal acts". Two unauthorized and unsanitary refrigerated vehicles were also seized.
The three persons in custody have been placed in custody in order to determine all the ramifications of this case, concludes the press release.
